Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on the 30th of December 1986. Ellie Goulding dominated the UK charts in 2010 due to her irresistible electronic pop songs "Starry Eyed" as well as Guns and Horses. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. With her distinctive soprano voice and knack of writing engaging, but emotionally honest tracks, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap is at the top of modern mainstream music as well as an independent, artistic pop.Goulding was soon moving from blogging to printed media, gaining recognition from major publications such as The Guardian and fielding offers from record companies. Polydor Records, a major music label, chose to sign Goulding and was preparations to release her debut album.
