Niykee is a songwriter that, in spite of her recent hectic career, has kept a regular routine. Her personal highlights have been being selected by Snoop dogg to be his private assistant at the YouTube Brandcast event in May 2013. At present, she is a magnet to aspiring producers she constantly combs through beats sent her way and finds that many result in sparking ideas for songs. She states that she can determine if the beat is a good one in less than five minutes. Then, a new song may pop up in her mind. The words come to me when I'm on my deck, playing guitar. It usually takes under 30 minutes. Niykee has found that her pain in the past provides endless sources of ideas. The pain I felt growing up and that of losing my sibling are present in my lyrics even though they're not literally. It influences my music and gives it a deeper sense of meaning that I believe is very important. I would like to be able to listen to my songs in 20 years and be proud of what I have to say.
