Summer glau

Firefly was Whedon's next hit show, and it's likely that she made an impact. Summer Glau's River Tam was a complicated character which Glau managed with ease. The character Tam was made to participate in tests conducted by the government, in which she was trained to be an assassin. The capacity of Tam to control her feelings was removed from her. Glau demonstrated her fighting abilities as well as acting abilities on Firefly. The training she received as an assassin allowed her the chance to utilize the full range of athletic skills she has. Summer Glau is a classically trained ballerina. Her broken toe, however, that put an end to her dance career. Firefly ran for only the duration of one episode, but was a huge hit with its fans. Whedon became so dedicated to Firefly that he decided to return a couple years later. Summer Glau was still getting good work during the time. Her television work included Cold Case and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
