Sharp is a Rochester native who studied clarinet in the Hochstein School of Music. Also, she played piano and cello. She received a full scholarship to The Boston Conservatory for her passion for school theater. She received her B.F.A. was awarded to Sharp following her graduation. Sharp started her professional career on stage after graduating from the Conservatory. Sharp appeared in the Broadway National Tour of Carousel and debuted Off Broadway with Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind.
