Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, playback singer as well as a musician. She works mostly in Tamil as well as Malayalam film languages. Annayum Raolum is her Malayalam and Tamil debut. She debuted in Tamil along with Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea Jeremiah grew up in an Anglo-Indian house in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Andrea's father was a Madras High Court lawyer. Her mother is the older sibling of the researcher assistant in Leuven, Belgium. Jeremiah was raised in Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Jeremiah has stated that she was a nerd and aspired to become a psychiatrist after passing the 12th grade of her board exams.Andrea was a classical pianist when she was eight. When she was 10, she was a part of a Jackson Five-style troupe called Young Stars which formed the beginning of her early musical and singing career. Additionally, she worked as professional theatre performers in the university. She was also the President of the Student Senate at Women's Christian College. Andrea began her theatre career as a part of Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. In 2006, she starred in a new leo advertisement along with actor Shiva. In 2006, she also appeared in one of the shows that was relayed on Podhigai channel. Her performances have been all over India. She played a brief role in the finale of Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). After performing a number of songs in Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu he asked her to play the leading female character in his next project Pachaikili Muthucharam. The film was an adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed, with Andrea portraying Kalyani the wife of a homemaker who has an affair with her and is blackmailed. Andrea was selected for the part after the actresses Simran Shobana and Tabu were sought out. The film was released in the beginning of 2010. In 2011, she agreed to be a part-time supporting role in Venkatprabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha to be came out in August 2011. Annayum Rasoolum, a romantic film by Rajeev ravi which was released in 2013, was the actress's Malayalam debut.
